Fur painting.
Colour on
grown form.
Every hide already carries a story — the painting tells it further. Acrylic on natural hide: no two works are alike.
What is Fellmalerei?
A bellowing stag, painted in acrylic on a real, untreated cowhide.
The irregular, grown edge of the hide is not trimmed — it remains part of the work.
Markings, hair growth and whorls bring their own drawing; the painting takes them up.
Painted motif and grown surface interlock — here a figure in a tailcoat.
Because no hide is like another, every work is unrepeatable.

“I stand before the white canvas and dip the brush very slowly and carefully into my soul.”
Trained at the Moscow State Stroganov Academy of Art and Industry, at home for decades across painting, drawing and sculpture — today with a gallery presence in Kitzbühel and a studio in Piding.
From hide to canvas,
from wire to space.
A picture that exists only once — yours.
- Portraits from photographs — and, where possible, from life
- personal motifs and dedications
- gifts for special occasions — for partners, family, friends
- works for companies and spaces
Every commission begins with a personal conversation about motif, format and technique — on canvas or as Fellmalerei.
Paint until your head feels light.
“The canvas becomes your best friend: it listens patiently, understands everything — and tells no one.” On this principle Evgenia Kulikova has led art workshops for years — on request for individuals, private groups, companies and team events.

From the reviews.
“Evgenia Kulikova's works surprise through their wealth of ideas and variety, convince through their craftsmanship and move through the clarity of their message.”
“Kulikova manages to combine two traditional genres — still life and portrait — in a modern way. The flowers stand symbolically for the blurred portrait: everything is transient!”
